From Overbooked → Already Breathing Easier

Discover the Best Times to Visit

First, thank you to everyone who shared why you’d love to visit Tanglebloom Cabin in 2026. Reading your stories — from birthdays and graduations to solo self-care and creative retreats — has been so inspiring. You’re reminding me all over again why we do this.

In my last post, I shared how important it is to put rest on the calendar before life fills up. Today, I want to show you what happens the moment you do.

👉✨ Imagine: you go from being stressed, overscheduled, and wishing you had more time… to knowing that in 2026 you already have a nature retreat waiting for you.

It’s more than a getaway. It’s the relief of knowing:

  • You’ve built rest into your future.

  • You have something nourishing to look forward to.

  • You’ve made space for connection, celebration, and beauty.

Instead of wondering how you’ll squeeze in rest and joy, imagine already knowing you’ll spend your birthday soaking in a wood-fired hot tub under the stars… or waking up slow in a real bed, coffee in hand, looking out at the forest.

To make it even easier, I pulled together a sample itinerary and packing list (based on one of our 2025 guest stays). This way, when you arrive, you can relax instead of fussing over logistics.

Sample Itinerary Highlight

  • Arrive in Vermont with time to stop at a farm stand and pick up local treats.

Time to kill before check-in? Sink into your retreat routine with a swim at the Dummerston Covered Bridge en route.

  • Check in, assemble a picnic dinner, and enjoy it on the cabin’s porch as the sun sets the forest aglow

  • Spend the next morning hiking to Hamilton Falls (or just linger over coffee and books)

  • Explore Wild Book Company in Newfane, and have dinner on the porch at The Four Columns, just down the street

  • End your night with a hot tub soak under the stars

Quick Packing List

  • A good book (rainy days here are secretly magical)

  • Layers — comfortable casual clothing for hiking, exploring, and relaxing

  • Swimsuit for the hot tub + nearby swimming holes

  • Snacks from a local shop, or your favorite wine to enjoy fireside

See how easy it can be? No roughing it, no stress — just sinking into an experience you’ll actually remember. (Pro tip: we send a detailed packing list before your stay to make your prep simple.)

🌲 Since 2017, I’ve hosted hundreds of guests here. We’ve been named an Airbnb Most Wish Listed and featured in Dwell, Travel + Leisure, BuzzFeed, and more. But what matters most?

Guests go home recharged, saying things like, “I didn’t know how much I needed this.”

In my next post, I’ll share exactly how to secure your ideal 2026 date — so you don’t miss your birthday weekend, peak peony bloom, or firefly season.

✨ Your turn: Which season would you most love to visit — spring peonies, summer fireflies, fall foliage, or cozy autumn nights?
